Hubungan Pengetahuan Dan Status Pekerjaan Ibu Dengan Pemberia ASI Esklusif Di Klinik Pratama Citra Tahun 2023

Breast milk is the best food for children in the first 6 months of life because it contains complete nutrients needed by a baby and is very easily digested by the baby's small and sensitive stomach. WHO recommends exclusive breastfeeding during the first six months of life and continued with complementary foods until 2 years of age. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between knowledge and employment status of mothers with exclusive breastfeeding at Pratama Citra Clinic in 2023.
This type of research is an analytical survey, with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study was mothers who had babies under 6 months old at Pratama Citra Clinic. The sample in this study uses the total population, where the entire population is sampled as many as 36 people.
The results showed that the majority of mothers had knowledge with less categories as many as 13 people (36.1%) and the minority of mothers had knowledge with good categories as many as 11 people (30.6%). The majority of working mothers were 21 people (58.3%) and the minority of non-working mothers were 15 people (41.7%). The majority did not provide exclusive breastfeeding as many as 19 people (52.8%) and the minority provided exclusive breastfeeding as many as 17 people (47.2%). There is a relationship between knowledge and exclusive breastfeeding where the p value is 0.000<0.05, there is a relationship between employment status and exclusive breastfeeding where the p value is 0.008<0.05.
The conclusion in this study is that there is a relationship between knowledge and employment status with exclusive breastfeeding. It is recommended to mothers to give exclusive breastfeeding to babies aged 0 to 6 months.
