Hubungan Pengetahuan Ibu Tentang Pijat Bayi Dan Baby Spa Dengan Tumbuh Kembang Bayi Di Desa Medan Krio Tahun 2023

Baby spa is a series of stimulation of child growth and development by combining baby gym, swimming (baby hydro), baby massage to skin care for children. Baby SPA basically only consists of baby massage and there are some that teach swimming to babies. Baby massage is massage that is done with gentle strokes on the surface of the baby's skin, done by using the hands which aims to stimulate the nerves, muscles, respiratory system and blood and spleen circulation. The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship between mother's knowledge about baby massage and baby spa and baby development in Medan Krio village in 2023.
This type of research is an analytic survey, with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study were mothers who had babies aged 3-12 months in Medan Krio Village. The sample in this study used accidental sampling, namely the sample was carried out by taking cases or respondents who happened to be available or available somewhere according to the research context as many as 38 people.
The results showed that the majority of mothers had knowledge with less category as many as 15 people (39.5%). and a minority of mothers have knowledge in the good category as many as 11 people (28.9%). The majority of babies with normal growth and development were 36 people (94.7%) and a minority of babies with abnormal growth and development were 2 people (5.3%). There is a relationship between mother's knowledge of baby massage and baby spa and baby's growth and development where the p value is 0.000 <0.05 so there is a relationship between mother's knowledge about baby massage and baby spa and baby's growth and development in Medan Krio village in 2023.
The conclusion in this study is that there is a relationship between mother's knowledge about baby massage and baby spa and baby growth and development in Medan Krio village in 2023. It is recommended that mothers always participate in every counseling given by health workers so that mother's knowledge can increase so that her actions can also to be better.
